Well 4th jan in gisborne was a incredibly lucky escape for the both off us. the second race of the night was one we won’t forget a false start and the track marshals turned the lights red we did not see the lights and ploughed into deane miller and jason walters at high speed and walking out of the hospital with out any broken bones hours later was unreal .the bike has to rebuilt so we have to wait to get back on track. the crash has not dampened our enthusiasm and can’t wait to get back out there and racing and flying the V good luck for 19v 34v and 62v for the NZ champs go hard and rubbings racing :)

11 bikes two heats three races each to deside top six..we made top six .with 3nz,52p,39p,62v,11p.flag starts no tapes first start was a red light coming on as we got out of first corner 3nz must of had a good start?found we had broken our gear cable so would have been left behind with only 1st gear.race was restarted and we had to start in 2nd gear new we were not going to get out of gate fast enough and chased rest of bikes which ended up a good night for 39p andrew buchanan and phillpa bruns these guys are coming on real form real fast with constant racing and wins to show ..45p 2nd phil/simon mcnabb  62v 3rd griag scott/tony hirwini good nights racing by all bikes …wanganui was next day 4pm start track didn’t suit us much but had two good starts with a win in the 1st race and looking like another win in the 2nd race but was not to be.pit gate corner about the 3rd lap and in the lead with bikes way behind and our bike just cut out an stopped with 62v hitting us to end the  days racing after that to much damage to boths bikes to get back out with only leaving 25p left with hangbag and sally out as well but that racing but bloody good fun

boxing day bikes

Well it has not been a good season to date with the speedway bike not running as we thought and only doing a few meetings before Mick breaking his hand four weeks out from boxing day,

Missing the NZ Speedway Sidecar Champs and frist round of road racing at manfeild.

We had both bikes on the dyno at tauranga and the road bike is running like a dream.

Boxing day was awesome as we were midfeild out of 21 f1 sidecars and pleased with that results.

Both of us have been going to the osteopath just so we were right for boxing day, mick with two broken bones in his left hand and me with my shoulder which was from a crash in speedway in 2004.

I dont know when we will race next but will be hanging out to do so.

Cheers Blink

Wellington champs 26/1/08

Wellington sidecar champs was run on Saturday with 13 bikes.

1st race: We won

2nd race: Was flag start got a 2nd

3rd race: We developed engine trouble and got a 4th.

With these placings it put us into the top six. 1st out of the gate in the top six only to be passed by Sefton and Clint then by ram and horse, We managed to hold on to 3rd so not a bad night considering that it was flag starts for a championship meeting and the bike was not running as well as it should have been.

But happy with the 3rd Place,

1st = 3nz truuts Brothers

2nd = 6p Ram & Horse

3rd = 35v Mick & Blink

Cheers guys for the good racing.

Well we finally had a good result after the bad run we had at the Manawatu champs 0n the 29th, We didn’t make the top six and the next night in Wanganui we had teams racing with three Auckland bikes three Palmerston North bikes and three from wangas with me hitting the wall.

A first place at Meeanee’s Hawke’s Bay champs was a good result for us, thanks to Grunter for the help with the bike and without his help we would not achieved such a great result cheers Mick & Blink.
